WEEKLY NEWS UPDATE FROM GEOFF LEASK
As we are into the Summer Holiday Season it is time to break with the norm and have a Weekly News on the Friday with the next one on the Tuesday 18th July. In this ‘special edition’ I would like to say a huge thanks to everyone for their support in ensuring that Young Enterprise Scotland ‘DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN’. Without our delivery we would not achieve the huge coverage across the media of what we do and this last few weeks has been exceptional for an organisation with NO specific Marketing & Communications Team – just a great bunch of people who spot opportunity and importantly have a great story to tell!
First let us look at FlyBe Magazine – three pages in this month’s issue about our Company programme and companies in Shetland, Glasgow, Highland & Moray and Grampian. This magazine will be on all FlyBe flights during July – 17 Million Passengers per year = at least 1.41 million passengers in July and great coverage.
· Coverage in Glasgow Herald of our Pathway programme.
· The Sun this week mentioning Young Enterprise Scotland in the Shaf Rasul column
· BQ Magazine: Covering our Educational Journey of an Entrepreneur on page 30
Finally to our coverage on STV Glasgow and BBC Breakfast news in last week as well as Glasgow Evening Times of our Scottish Company Programme winners Pure Chuffed. Makes it a tremendous last month for coverage.
Not bad for a small organisation with no dedicated Marketing and Communications resource – punching way above….
